本課程將嚴格以研究所研討課的水準要求每位參與者完成閱讀並參與討論。每週二中午以前繳交約三百字的提問。提問、課堂引言與討論佔總成績50%。五月十三日繳交約一千字的學期報告研究計畫，六月卅日（星期一）繳交一篇學期研究報告（八千至一萬兩千字），以可供發表（publishable）的學術論文為水準，佔總成績50%。
