100th University Anniversary Concert, Unstoppable Popularity

The concert on June 6th attracted crowds of audience as 14 dream teams took turns on the stage, attracting thousands of people, teachers and student. An hour before the concert, there was “Walk of Fame ” allowing the audience to see their idols up close. During the intermission, the audience was treated to a fireworks performance, brightening up the night like a New Year concert, and further boosting the radiance of the NCU Centennial Anniversary.

The concert was started off by popular actor Bii. Despite the slight drizzle,the enthusiasm of the students was not a least bit damped. To further enhance the beautiful memories, two alumni singers were also invited: Chen Hui-Ting,alumni of the French department member and lead singer of Tizzy Bac; and Du Pi, alumni of Business Administration member and drummer of Won Fu Band.

During the intermission, the laser-ball launching ceremony for “NCU 100 Sparkling Stars” was arranged and hosted by President Jing-Yang Jou, Vice-President Gin-Rong Liu, Vice-President Kwang-HwaLiiand Chief Secretary Kuo-Kai Shyuto celebrate the 100th anniversary. President Chou stated in his speech that in the 100th anniversary series events, besides arranging informative academic events and speeches, the concert was also specially organized for the students, and he expressed his gratitude for the support of the University Alumni.

After the sparkling blessings of the fireworks, the singers again took their turns on stage, including Prince of Romantic Songs Li Sheng-Jie, popular idol Guo Jing, Campus Queen Zeng Pei-Ci, Iron Lung Singer Jia-Jia, student romance idol Wu Si-Xian, and Kimberly. The famous and popular songs entranced the audience. The finale was performed by Penny Tai, and her performance sparked much excitement. The five-hour concert was well-received by the audience and stirred them into heightened states of excitement.
