National Central University (NCU), aiming to foster collaboration between biomedical science and space technology, has established the "Space Biomedical Ground Test Laboratory." On October 6, a signing ceremony for a memorandum of cooperation was held with ten enterprises. The goal is to join forces with the corporate sector to create a test laboratory conforming to international space station standards. This facility aims to simulate biomedical experiments in space environments, paving the way for future advancements in space biomedical science!

Led jointly by Associate Professor Hsu Yi-Chiung from the Department of Biomedical Sciences and Engineering and Director Loren Chang from the Department of Space Science and Engineering at NCU, this laboratory serves as an integrated platform. It enables researchers and industries to collaboratively test, research, and innovate space biomedical-related technologies.

NCU President Jou Jing-Yang indicated that this collaboration will bolster the university's leading position in the field of biomedical science, propelling Taiwan to become a significant participant in the domain of space biomedical research.

This cooperative agreement marks not only a crucial step in the field of space biomedical science but also unfolds a new dimension for innovative developments in Taiwan's space technology. It initiates a collaborative effort between academia and industry, driving exploration into the intriguing combination of biomedical science and space technology.
