National Central University Partners with Delta’s EMEA Headquarters to Foster Global Talent Cultivation
With the collaboration of the Education Division of the Representative Office in the European Union and Belgium, National Central University officially signed a memorandum of cooperation with Delta’s EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) Headquarters on 31st August. This marks the initiation of the 2024 Overseas Professional Internship Program, aimed at enriching students' global perspectives and honing their professional skills. The program is scheduled to begin in February 2024, selecting outstanding students to participate on a six-month internship at Delta’s EMEA Headquarters located in Hoofddorp, the Netherlands.

Join us at the "Pinecone Party"! NCU Picnic Competition and Creative Market
The picnic competition held in celebration of NCU's 108th Anniversary lively took place on May 19 at the iHouse, featuring pinecones, which can be found all around the NCU campus. The "Pinecone Party" event invited everyone and attracted faculty members, students, alumni, and the public to join in the festivities. Despite the heavy rain the night before, the enthusiasm for the anniversary celebration remained undampened!

"A Fresh Start • Hope" - Celebrating the 108th Anniversary of National Central University
National Central University celebrated its 108th anniversary and the 61st anniversary since its reestablishment in Taiwan on May 19. The anniversary ceremony honored the outstanding alumni of the 20th cohort, including world-renowned meteorologist Dr. Juang Han-Ming, optoelectronics authority Professor Sun Ching-Cherng, and the chairman of Taiwan Intelligent Robotics Company, Ltd., Mr. Huang Kuo-Tsung. Their achievements in various fields have set exemplary standards for NCU alumni.

NCU Corporate Expo: The Number of Exhibitors Reached an All-time High
After the Covid-19 pandemic, the NCU Corporate Expo was grandly held on March 26, 2023. 136 enterprises joined the expo and almost 7,000 job vacancies were open for application. In addition, the scale of this talent recruitment fair was the largest compared to the fairs held each year in the past. This year, the whole expo included six cross-discipline themes: humanities and social sciences, business and management, science and engineering, inter-disciplines, environmental, social, and governance (ESG), and foreign talent. It was also the first time that “classroom recruitment” was held; students could visit different classrooms to know more about each company and outline their career blueprints.

Double Recognition from National Innovation Award and Excelsior Award: Research Team at Dept. of Electrical Engineering Advanced the Technology for Caring for the Disadvantaged
The research team led by Professor Shyu Kuo-Kai and Professor Lee Po-Lei at the Department of Electrical Engineering has advanced the technology for caring for the disadvantaged. The team conducted the research project on “Hospital Bed Control by the Electroencephalography (EEG) Signal,” receiving the Excelsior Award at the 2022 National Innovation Award for Taiwan Healthcare. In addition, Professor Lee Po-Lei collaborated with Taipei Veterans General Hospital to develop the “Close-loop Brain-computer Interface (BCI)-controlled TMS Rehabilitation System for Stroke Patients,” winning the 2022 National Innovation Award as well. Both research outcomes have attained groundbreaking and remarkable innovations!
