Art Center


Art Center is located on 1st floor of Zhong-Zheng Library, which was designed by a honorable alumnus, Chi-Kuan Chen. Now there are exhibition room, art creative spaces, reading room, and culture storeroom. Art Center hosts numerous exhibitions, inviting renowned artists to share their ideas and concepts, fostering an exchange of artistic perspectives. It offers opportunities for people to engage closely with art. Additionally, the center organizes occasional art lectures and hands-on workshops, offering diverse and vibrant artistic experiences.

NCU 107 CineSpace


NCU 107 CineSpace is located on the first floor of the Humanities & Social Sciences Building. The classroom is designed to resemble a theater, equipped with professional audio-visual equipment, and can accommodate 99 seats. We host themed film exhibitions and feature film screenings. Additionally, we occasionally invite directors or film critics to share unique insights, allowing the audience to immerse themselves in the cinema experience. This offers a unique opportunity for both film viewing and learning.

Black Box Theater


Established in 2012, the Black Box Theater is located on the first floor of the Humanities & Social Sciences Building. It is one of the few small-scale professional theaters in the Taoyuan area, with seating for 100 and excellent equipment. The theater serves as a cultural hub, bringing together the humanities through thoughtfully curated programs and the appreciation of performing arts, where a wealth of extraordinary art is discovered.

Kunqu Opera Museum


In 1992, Professor Hung Wei-chu from the Department of Chinese Literature established the Center for the Study of Chinese Drama & Opera, dedicated to researching and collecting of
cultural artifacts related to Kunqu Opera. Over the past thirty years, the center has amassed a world-renowned Kunqu Opera collection. In 2017, the only Kunqu Opera Museum in Taiwan was established in Building 2 of the College of Liberal Arts at NCU. The museum continues to advance academic research, uphold university social responsibility, and promote Cultural equity and access to artistic resources. Each year, it presents two special exhibitions focused on Kunqu Opera. The museum also hosts performances, offers a digital platform for traditional Chinese opera promotion, and organizes interdisciplinary knowledge exchange between the fields of opera and museum studies.

Public Art


To bring the staff, students, and local residents closer to art, NCU has installed nine pieces of public art on campus, including the Taichi Copper Statue, the Symphony of DNA, Ride on the Cloud and Fly into Imagination, Elephants of the Five Elements, Why, Listening to the Pines, Cycle-90 II, Walking Amongst the Clouds, and Cycle-90 Feathers. The pieces are scattered through the nooks and crannies of the NCU campus, ingeniously integrated into the marvelous NCU architecture and scenery, and filling the campus with an artistic air.
