The International Society for Optics and Photonics(SPIE) announced the recipient of Educator Award in 2016. Cheng-Chung Lee, an emeritus professor in NCU, won the award because of his long-time dedication to optical education.

Team of NCU won the championships of Structural Cost, Presentation, and Prediction of Deflection, becoming the champion of the Overall Performance in 2016 Asia Bridge Competition held by Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan.

Dr. Jack Kaye, associate director for research of the Earth Science Division, NASA, visited National Central University (NCU), home of the GLOBE Taiwan Program on 8 March 2016.

NCU faculty receives academic honors and awards one after another. Wing-Huen Ip is awarded the holder of 19th National Professorship of the pleasure Ministry of Education(MOE). Dr. Chi-Hung Juan is the recipient of the 59th Academic Award from MOE.
